Presentation
The 2024 Aufguss World Championships took place at Thermen Bussloo in the Netherlands.
Representing Italy were the top three competitors from each category of the Italian Championships, as well as those who qualified through the playoffs, specifically:
For Singles:
- Michael Niedermair
- Katarzyna Klajn
- Massimo Gelli
- Mattia Fortunati Rossi
For Teams:
- Letizia Raho, Elia Beghini & Francesco Sava
- Massimo Gelli & Michaela Platter
- Sibilla Lovato & Jonathan Salvemini
- Mattia Fortunati Rossi & Chiara Rosadoni
This year, 40 individual participants and 40 teams competed, necessitating five qualification days (with 16 aufguss performances per day) and one final day.
The top competitors from each category during the qualification days advanced to the final, while three others qualified via a wildcard system based on the best scores from the five days.
Four Italian competitors qualified for the final, and two reached the podium. Michael Niedermair achieved an outstanding first place with his performance "Behind the Door."
Additionally, the team of Letizia Raho, Elia Beghini & Francesco Sava claimed an impressive third place with their show "Skila".
